Hi everybody!
I just decided to call my terrarium project that I'm about to start Through the Looking Glass..kinda reminded me of Alice in Wonderland (2nd book) when the madhatter took her into an elevator made out of glass all around. My container kinda reminds me of this elevator thus I called it TGL...
I would like some suggestions please, as to what kind of plants I should put in these square photo albums. Here are some of the plants that I'm considering:
pin cushion plant (coral beads)
irish moss
pork and beans.
They are very tiny containers please keep in mind..... I'll post up their pics soon!

Love the theme name... you could try a sinningia pusilla which does very well in terrariums. How big will they be on the inside and what kind of light will they get?
Other plants you could try are :
Mini fern
Micro Afircan violets
Ivy springs
Tiny begonias

Thank you for your suggestion mscritterkeeper! I'll keep an eye out for the plants listed above...kinda hard to find at my local home depot.
This is the container that I'll be planning to use, but I've been bummed out because I can't take out the pink! lol. I'm also still trying to find plants to put inside them..I purchased something called "baby tears" I think - they look like small ferns. I also went to a nursery that sells alot of tropical plants..might have seen micro AV, but I wasn't sure. they were cheap though, 2.50. Haven't seen mini ferns, ivy springs or tiny begonias....
my search is still on lol...
Love that pink container! I love pink and I think that one would look pretty neat with foliage that has pink in it like the Fittonia: http://davesgarden.com/guides/pf/go/174585/ although they can get pretty tall. You'd probably have to constantly pinch out the centers so they didn't grow spindly. sure will! I have three of these containers/photoalbums, not sure whether or not to take out the paint of leave it or paint over it. It's hard for me to find the plants that I would like to put in this container, as it is very small. Fittonias do look pretty though, and I'm a pretty hands-on person, so I don't mind pinching out leaves =). I've seen them at many nurseries, but I think this might take a while still. It's very hard to decide -_-
