some of you have tried to contact me. my computer is dead. also leaving for 10 days to miss. be back later and just wanted yall to know i was alive. lol. i have 4 min. left on my cell phone but i am pretty sure i took care of that last night with my brother. no calls, no computer, and there's something wrong with the sewer. and my whole garden looks like someone set it on fire. i love my life.
anything that it looks like that i did wrong is somehow either patti's, cocoa's or dawn's fault. one of the three. not me. but those three...hmmhmmhmm....they have known criminals as their friends. i, on the other hand, do not. just wanted yall to know. hahahahahahahahaha
alive and well although primitively

i got my new computer today. it is wonderful. so fast and perfect in every way. the old one was going to cost around 300.00 to fix potentially so i opted for a new untouched by kids machine. it's so sexy looking. the other good thing about the new computer is that i cleaned the house because of the computer guy coming. i live in a dog house. what am i going to do about them? they are our family and will not understand having to live forever more outside. but they shed hair so badly. never knew labs would shed so much.
my son, jack, has ruined all of our computers i think. he is 12. guess what he's been looking at? lol. the computer guy today said he had trojans all over his computer, whatever those are. he couldn't even get e.v.'s computer to work so he's taking hers in to clean it up. after jack broke his computer he got on e.v.'s and ruined it. ditto with mine. jack has to wait though before i clean his. and i am going to get someone to show me how to lock my computer so he can never use it. when i told jack i wanted to do that he told me he knew how to do it and he would show me. can i trust him? lol.
If he knows how to put it on, then he will know how to unlock it as well.
If you have a computer nerd in your family under the age of 18, I suggest you take your keyboard with you when you leave the house.:) That's the only way to be sure the computer is not used. Unless of course he plugs in his own keyboard, in which case I guess you need a pro to help you. Good luck.
well he knows more than i do but i wouldn't call him a nerd and i use that word in admiration. i'll ask the computer guy if there is a way i can secure it. i just want to lock him out of my computer. lol.
it's not all jack's fault. i downloaded something once that caused an immediate change in how my computer operated.
Oh yes I use it in admiration too. DS was computer nerd in high school. The teachers were always asking him to fix their computers or program the one in the auditorium so the theatre groups could have their light and sound effects for their shows. He is a great asset now, but sometimes when he was still in high school it was frustrating because we were at his mercy when we needed tech help but he resented being told to "clean up his mess".
Maybe instead of locking the computer, if it's a laptop, you could put it in a desk drawer that locks. That would solve the problem. Of course if it's a desk top, that's going to be a little more difficult to do. :)

Through Windows you can set up different users with different passwords. Each user can have different settings. You can set it up so he are only allowed to go to certain prechosen sites under his user name. AVG is also an excellent antivirus and firewall program. You can download a free 30 day trial at their site.
jojo, girl, long time. good to hear from you. i am still in miss. my sister tells me it has rained almost every day i have been gone. i sure hope something is green when i get home because it was brown and gray when i left. why is this year's drought so much worse than that 2 yr. stretch we had? dl's were dormant or dead when i left.
Glad to see your doing good Barb! Well its been raining here for a few of days so things are greening up pretty good. Especially the weeds LOL I think they have shot up a foot in the last few days!! I even have stuff blooming finally!!
How long till you get back?
