I am also a newbie at Angels...just started purchasing them 3 months ago...I have now 24 varieties(thankgoodness I live in Australia where Angel~mania~ is just starting out, otherwise I'd have a hundred)
Our Quarantine rules are strict importing plants into Australia although we are able to import seeds, so that's what I did...literally hundreds of them....I have never planted a seed in my life but I have about 200 germinating as we speak. They are easy peasy to germinate , just look at me. I love the expectancy of what might develop .
I've posted a pic of my 2 month old NOID pink which has buds on her....I am so excited ,I literally go on the deck every chance I get just to admire her.
The reason I've got cages around my pots/inground plants is because we have wallabies that love to nibble at the green stems and will ringbark them and eat young leaves, once they get to a certain height, I'll feel safe that I can take the cage protection away.
Proud Mama
Hello and Welcome!!!
MyaC congratz on all your new babies : ) What on earth will you do with all of them lol.
I'll give them away...the ones that are beauties of course....I only have room for so many and these beauties are meant to be spread around......
Yes they are!!!!!!! ^_^
oy, two months old and buds! Ack! I am sooo jealous. Mine were planted in march and four feet tall and not even a Y yet. Sigh... I am trying to be patient!
Hi lavender4ever
I live in a tropical environment which is just fantastic for my Angels. Even though it's "officially" our winter, I'm finding that these Angels are powering away and my seeds are all getting their leaves after only 2 weeks of planting...now do you see why I'm a happy ,happy Mama.....
Brugmansia are instant gratification...even the leaves to me are gorgeous***** LOL
I definitely agree. Even in my zone the plants are massive for such a tiny seed in march. My father in law was just asking me today what those huge plants near the pool area are. lol
