I took some photos of my little Devon Rex Toby today, and I was pleased the way they turned out, so I thought I'd share.

Toby is the fourth Devon that has owned me, and he is, by far, the biggest challenge. Devons are normally very passive, loving; definitley lapcats. "Normally" is the key word here...because then along came Toby. Toby thinks he is a dog, first and foremost, and also thinks he is the mighty king of the jungle. I call him my Little Lion King. My previous little girl Devons had the typical characteristics of a Devon, a mouse would have likely scared them to death. They never climbed fences, or hunted anything bigger than a butterfly. They would follow me around the garden and dose while I worked; mostly content when in the house on a favorite pillow. Then my little male Toby adopted me as his Mom, and I have been running ever since. He had to be leash trained right away at 5 months old when he decided he wanted to climb the highest trees, and explore his outdoor surroundings. He is a runner, so we have constantly got to be watching open doors. Not difficult to catch again, but a pain in the tushie.

Toby has a favorite "haunt" that he likes to visit daily when we go for a walk. It is a ravine that has water in the Spring, but has all but dried up now in the summer heat. He loves it there, with it's large twisted Willows that he can climb and watch the birds, or anything else that moves. Here are the shots I got today.
