New Stemma
Got mine last night ... printed out all 50 some pages - been reading off and on since then.
GREAT ISSUE! They do get better each time!
AMEN to that!!!
This is a WONDERFUL issue, and a GREAT publication. I have it all printed out & am enjoying it also. Thanks so much to all that make it possible.
Marcy
I agree - this issue is outstanding. Thanks, Mark!
Karen
Ditto on everything said!
Blessings,

I too am enjoying the issue!! I found the comments made by Sylvine Bruneau about how pictures of the various Hoyas affect different people in different ways so true. One that will knock my socks off will maybe do little for another while one that others rave about may not strike me, it's fabulous to be individuals isn't it? LOL
All of Sylvine Bruneau pictures are truly gorgeous but the one that knocked my socks off, if I had to pick one, was H Caudata TN - 99 008!

Thanks, and thanks from everyone else involved with Stemma.
Brenda, Sylvine's photos really are amazing, aren't they? I was blown away the first time I saw some of them, and they only seem to get better.
My own favorite from this batch was the one of H. coriacea.
I don't understand how she does it- every single image is crystal clear. Just a natural gift, I guess!
p.s. notice that there are other great photos in this issue from DG forum members-
Gabi Rothman,
Marcy Durst,
Doug Chamberlain,
Carol Noel,
Brenda Medel,
Linda Vosbury,
Christina Karlsson
Thanks to all of you!
Mark, this is the greatest issue yet!!! I've printed it out and have been reading it over and over. So much information and I just love all the great photos. You've done a wonderful job.
Thanks so much.
I absolutely love this issue. It is so educational, and the photos are great. I am going through it slowly, and enjoying every second of it.
Mark, you just put so much effort into this (and all other issues of course) - THANKS!
Gabi
Mark, my man! You outdid yourself on this issue. The front page is awesome as are the photos! I appreciate the labor put into coordinating the publication. Way to grow!!!!!!
Mel
Mark,
Kudos! Just beautiful, and what a fantastic resource for Hoya fanatics everywhere!
Doug
Yep, Mark, you have outdone yourself (and that is a hard thing to do). This is my favorite issue of Stemma yet....lots of good information and beautiful pictures....thanks for creating it for all of us to enjoy!

I have been reading this current issue off and on again today. I print out each issue of Stemma and put it in my plant file box, which makes it a lot easier than searching through files on my computer or going back through e-mails. A lot of the scientific stuff is waaay over my little old head (yeah, I said old ^_^) and I don't retain a lot of the complicated parts, but having each Stemma issue at hand in my file makes it easy to pull out any issue and go back and re-read it. I even highlight a lot of info, like the overall form of the different sections from this current Stemma.
I really think each new issue has outdone the previous one but they are all really wonderful, with great information ... even for us novice growers. I know I certainly appreciate the time and effort Mark puts into this publication! Great Job, Mark!
I, for one, could never ever 'grasp' the section concept...OH...I understand that certain ones are in the same section as others...but the whys escaped me. Mark, you have explained it so well!!! While I may not be able to rattle off the information at a cocktail party...I understand it. You explain it so well!!! I know you spent a lot of energy on this....and it was well spent!!!
Thanks so much
Carol
Thanks a lot, it is nice to hear that people are taking time to read and try to understand the sections article.
I know most people will not be interested in the finer comparisons of pollinaria and whatnot, so I tried to include some easier to access passages along with the more technical stuff. I figured that looking at the entry for "overall form" and looking through the photos for each section would give most readers the gist of what each section was about.
In the end, the main way that species are grouped in each section is because they look alike, on many levels. Most of the sections will make sense after a while to most growers, as they see the similarities in their own plants.
Wow....excellent issue!
Kelly
