Iridescent Clouds

TAYLOR, TX(Zone 8a)

Yes, I did post this over on "Weather", but I wanted you all to see it also. This is a picture of the iridescent clouds over Liberty Hill, Leander last night. I'm sure a lot of you saw it in person, but for those that didn't, here is a treat for you!

Reminds me of the Northern Lights I saw in N. MN as a boy. Great shot!

WOW great shot and Bubba took the words right out of my mouth as to what they remind me of except I was in northern IL

What a beautiful silver lining too! I don't think I've ever seen such iridescence, was it storming there?

East of Nacogdoches, TX(Zone 8a)

Wow. And wow again. Is that a once in a lifetime occurence? Or does that magic regularly occur?

Georgetown, TX(Zone 8a)

I saw it too! I took a bunch of pictures, but I'm not sure if they came out as well as yours. I haven't taken them off the camera yet.

Wasn't that amazing? I was on my way home, and I called ahead to tell my husband to get the girls outside to see that amazing phenomenon.

We must be neighbors!

Yes, we thought it was truly amazing, and we thought it might be one of those 'once in a lifetime' experiences.

PeeperKeeper, we are in Leander, so we are neighbors!
