It looks healthy to me. Color looks good. I think It is nearly impossible to tell if it is a day bloomer or a night bloomer if you do not know the name. Maybe some of the more knowledgeable people can help.

I looked at your first picture and finialy saw your bud. If that is a new picture you have a long wait. The bud needs to be a LOT BIGGER that that to bloom. The size of an epis flower is very big. Even the smaller flowers look to big for the plant.

It resembles the E. hookerii - a night bloomer. I have a very large and heavy E. hookerii that was given to me as a small thing back in 1977 and I have never seen the blooms because it sits out under the trees in the corner of our backyard! I keep saying when I see those buds I am going to take a flashlight out there every night and watch to try and catch the blooms open but never have! I just keep forgetting and missing it. Mine just finished blooming again last week. I finally rooted some cuttings that I have on the back deck and when that plant gets to be blooming size I definitely will bring it inside so I can see the flowers open! I hear the blooms are fragrant too but I've never detected any fragrance on the spent blooms. This is a photo of mine in Plant Files that I took after the blooms were fading: http://davesgarden.com/guides/pf/showimage/168905/

I am not an expert but I think it has a wall to go before it blooms.

Just keep checking every night ... as late as possible, before you go to bed and also first thing in the morning. Isn't the anticipation exciting? One of these days I am going to see a night bloom!
I've had a large Ric Rac Orchid Cactus for years and never knew that it was an orchid cactus, until joining DG and someone ID'd it for me. I had or that it bloomed! One day a couple of months ago I saw a bud on it and was so excited ... kept watching it every day. Then one day I noticed the bud was all squishy and limp looking and I thought it had bugs. So sad. :( So I posted a pic and asked if anyone knew what was going on with the plant. LOL, found out it was a night bloomer and that it had bloomed and the flower was now dying. I missed the open bloom! That plant hangs out on my pool deck and now I check it every single day hoping for another bud or two ... I will not miss that one again. It has a red flower and is supposed to be very fragrant!

Hang in there ... can't wait to see the photo of your flower once it's open!
