I finally have some new babies from a leaf cutting. I removed the mother leaf and planted all the new babies into a little pot. My question is should I have seperated them, or can I leave them all together? Sounds dumb...but I am new to starting my own plants. I went to Rob's , but didn't see how to seperate them. I thought it would be just 1 plant from a leaf.
Thanks so much for all advise.

Planting new babies
Hi Jill!
Congratulations on your new babies! No question is dumb! We all have to start somewhere and we're all here to help one another. ^_^
Usually, when I pot up AV babies, I wait until they have leaves the size of a nickel. Some people say a dime, but I give mine a little longer. I do separate all the babies from each other. You can leave them together for a while to get a bit larger if you want to, but at some point (probably sooner rather than later) you do need to separate them.
Would you happen to have a picture of the babies that you could post? We love pictures and it makes it easier to be sure we're giving you the correct advice.

I'm off the hosp for a test and will take pictures when I get home.
Thanks, Jill
Good luck with your test. I hope all goes well. ^_^
One thing that works great for babies is the little cups that fit bathroom dispensers(Solo Cups).Poke holes in the bottom with a heated icepick. The plants can stay in these for quite a while.Lynn
What healthy looking babies. I, too, would separate them one to a solo pot. I just use scissors and cut a strip on both sides of the bottoms of the solo pots. A solo pot is a 3 ounce size................some people put perlite in the bottom1/3 of each pot and put all the solo cups in a tray on a capillary mat to soak up water from the bottom. You can use felt or acrylic blanket material from Walmart bought by the yard...............
Good luck..........they really are nice healthy plants........congrats
