Hi All!
I would like to start a new round robin. The method will be somewhat untraditional from those that I have seen. I'd like to do a "Daisy Chain" round robin. This will consist of anything in the daisy family (may not be the correct term but you get the idea.) This will include all daisies, chrysanthemums, asters, rudebekias, sunflowers etc. If it looks kinda like a daisy then it is game.
To take part all you need to do is mail at least one packet of seeds (more if you have bunches) to me with your name, snail mail, email and clearly mark the packet with as much of a description as possible (common name, latin name, color, decription if you don't know enough about it.) It would be preferred to tape the packet shut rather than seal it so that someone can take a few seeds if they wish and pass the rest along.
Please let me know if you are interested. I need at least 5 people and if I get many that would like to participate then I will split them off into smaller groups so it goes quickly and everyone will eventually get each box.

Angel, I _love_ all daisy looking flowers!!!!! I've just started in seeds but have a package of Painted Daisy Chrysanthemum Carinatum, mixed colors. (minus a few of course!)If this is enough to join-count me in & let me know what to do!! Julie

So far between this list and the Seed Exchange list on another forum there are 12 takers. I expect to have a great turnout on this. I'll keep everyone posted on the totals and if it splits into 2 boxes. The deadline to have the seed TO me is Feb 28th.

Just an update... There are 15 so far signed up for the Daisy Chain. All seeds need to be recieved by me by February 28th so I can prepare the path and get the box out with all the seeds in it. The minimun number of packets is only 1. Many people have expressed that they will be sending several. That is great. Just don't send all that you have since you will also be adding as you take when you recieve the box. most of the people signing up are from Garden Web. Don't be shy if you do not live in the US. I already have at least one I know of that lives in Canada and I will be sending the box to the other countries first so that I handle the foreign postage. Feel free to email me with any questions.

My mom signed up for your round robin and sent you seeds to start it with, and has never heard anything. Did the robin ever get underway?? Did it get lost somewhere along the line. I know that she was very excited to be a part of your robin, and has been disappointed to have never heard from anyone on it.
Hi momcat. It is actually between GA and MS right now. Email me with her name and I will tell her where she is on the list. I actually forgot this was on DG and was about to email everyone to start looking for updates here.

It first went to the west coast. It is running mostly by zipcode.
Originally only a couple people fron DG signed up for this but I think many on the list have moved over here from another list so if you are involved you may find regular updates here now.

Just an update to let all participants know... I am checking on the box now. It's next stop is still MS at this point. I will let you know when I hear of it's arrival.
