Recipe for Hoison Reduction to Drizzle on Chicken, Anyone?

Austin, TX(Zone 8b)

I recently had an Asian salad at Nordstrom's cafe in the store. It was delicious, but it's a new recipe and I don't have time to ask for it like I usually do (they ALWAYS come through, but usually in a month or so!). I want to fix it for a little dinner party this Sunday evening!

The chicken on top was drizzled with a very thick hoisin sauce (a reduction, I guess?). It was the consistency of a sweet and sour sauce.

Anyone have a recipe I might use? I've searched the net and they are all very thin sauces. This one was thick and black, and called "hoisin drizzle" I think.

Thanks!
Connie
