Just made this yummy pie and I wanted to share the recipe. I know I missed a lot here , while I was so busy moving in a new home, but I promise to catch up!
Blueberry Pie Recipe
Pie crust ( pastry)
- 1 1/2 cups all purpose flour
- 2 yolks
- 1/2 cup butter diced and chilled
- 1/2 cup powder sugar
Mix all ingredients in a bowl quickly, by opening and tightening the hand, don't overmix, just until it forms a tender dough ball, without breaking.Put in the fridge for half an hour, until you make the custard. Dust a clean table with flour and put the dough on it; flatten with hands. Use a rolling pin - which you have to dust with flour too - to roll the dough out into a circle 1/2 inch thick. Then put it gently into the pan and use your fingers to roll it all over the pan, by pressing gently, begining from the center to the edges, same thickness all over. You can roll the dough on the table and put it gently into the pan, but it's harder because the dough breakes. Meanwhile , preaheat oven at 170 for 10 minutes, put the pan with the crust inside and let for 30-40 minutes.

Custard
- 2 cups milk
- 6 teaspoonfulls white sugar
- vanilla
- 4 teaspoonfulls all purpose flour
- 2 eggs
- 2 remaining whites from the crust
- 1/2 cup butter diced and warmed
Filling
- 1 cup blueberries cleaned and washed
Boil 1 cup milk , add mixture of eggs, sugar, flour and 1 cup milk, then stir until the custard thickens, don't let boil ! When boils, set appart. Add butter and stir well. Put to fridge.
Before serving, fill in the crust with the custard and spread blueberries on top.
