Keaau, HI(Zone 11)

A friend of mine in Thailand just sent me this photo!!! Cool, eh? the vines are 6 months old...he must have started with LOOooong ones.... Hopefully he will answer my question as to how it is done. He has used Dischidia...but it should work with Hoya....no?

Wow, what a neat idea! I would think it could be done with hoyas as well. I hope you receive some details/instructions from him to share.

Hi Everyone-As far as lampshades go---find an old wire framed one, remove the covering and use the wire frame (inverted) as a trellis. You might have luck finding an inexpensive one at Good Will or even one of the dollar stores...Susan

Shawn uses a 'fish trap'....rigs with with connections and stuffs spagnum moss between the connection and the top..... Lamshade frame would be really cool!!!!
