As I am sitting here looking at 100 degrees on the thermometer and no hope of rain any time soon, I've decided it's time to plan another cactus bed. Do any of you with large cactus beds have photos you would share? I already have two cactus beds, but would like some fresh ideas. I have a small bed that has to be thinned out soon, so I have plenty of material for a new bed.
This is a picture of a larger bed that I have worked on for a couple of years. It is in pure clay and nothing else will grow there. I made a raised area at the back & planted a flowering shrub (can't remember the name) and also have a large clay pot with bulbine to add interest. Of course, the agave is the focal point. I have one large variegated agave that I will probably use as the focal point for the new bed. Would love to see your photos.
