A whole lot of photos were taken by myself and Connie this afternoon. We talked about the best way to put them on here on the way home. First off, for those of you on High Speed, you can watch this slide show I've made.
edited to add: If you move the mouse, a pop up box will appear. You can adjust the volume of the music and the time each frame is shown in that box.
Tomorrow, I will try to load as many of them into this thread as I can so that anyone on Dial Up can choose which photos they'd like to enlarge to see.
I hope you all enjoy the show. I also hope that others will post their photos here to share with everyone.
Randy, thank you so very much for your hospitality and your generosity. Once again, you've given us a place to hang out and enjoy ourselves. You opened your home to us all and we thank you so much! You're da Bomb!!!
Wayne, thank you for your wonderful tour and the great plants that you donated for door prizes. www.zone9tropicals.com If you didn't make it to Wayne's place for the tour, check out his website and buy some of his plants. He's got incredible prices and an awesome selection!
To everyone else, many hugs fro this gal. Though I didn't bring any plants with me, you sent me home with plenty to remind me what Dave's Garden is all about. Each time I see one of your plants in my yard, I will smile and remember the good times we all had today. Thank you all!
Janet (and Connie, since her photos contributed to this show)
By the way, you should know that Connie and I got lost on the way to Randy's house. Yes, we've been there before. But hey, we're wimmenfolk and we wimmenfolk do get lost sometimes and we have no problem admitting it! Anyhow, we saw the coolest fence while we were lost. I've included several photos of the fence at the end of the show.
Enjoy!!

Thank Ya'll for the wonderful time and Thank you, Randy and Brian for opening your home to us Gardeners...I enjoyed the slide show and I had a wonderful time visiting with ya'll. I also came away from Zone 9 Tropicals with a bunch of wonderful gingers that I have been looking for a long time. Thank you Mike and Caren for helping me carry my plants back to the gathering. Until next time, Daves Gardeners ROCKS!!!!!

Awesome food, and that cornbread casserole ! mmmmmmmmm
Thank you all for the plants I brought home. Knolan just as we got about to the outskirts of Houston I realized I forgot to give you your POB seeds! I'm so sorry. I will mail them to you.
Just been out there with my coffee grinning this morning, admiring them with glee... contemplating who will live where.
And now I dig.
Thanks for taking photo's Janet.
Great food and company- I was so pleased to see space around the garden from giving some of the large plants away.
Sandy, I still have to huge brugs for you ..come get them! Was good to see you last night.
Everythings all cleaned up and almost put away..
Have some bowls and pitchers.
You're quite welcome Randy.
I know I saw other cameras out though. There were several folks I missed getting pictures of. I hope folks will post their photos here too.

Last night I received a Dmail from Larry Cook from Austin. He said he'd been trying to post his photos and couldn't seem to get them posted. He asked if he could email them to me to see if I could post them. I said Sure!
I've added a section to my own slide show of the photos of this shindig just for Larry's photos. That way you can either watch just his photos, http://albums.phanfare.com/4856019/2148070_2724732#imageID=41119033
or you can watch the whole thing (again for some of you)
http://albums.phanfare.com/4856019/2148070
and it will automatically loop to his photos after mine and Connie's.
If anyone else has photos that they are having a hard time loading up here, you can send them to me via email at: (disjointed to discourage spam) jcolvin4 @ gt.rr.com. I will add a section to this show for your photos as well, just as I did with Larry's. If you send me photos, it's best that they be 1 MB or less. Any photos bigger than that jams up the email. Larry sent 23 at one time and they came in just fine.
I hope you enjoy the rest of the show. Larry did a wonderful job of capturing the jungle that we all spent time visiting in. Moodene and a few others are in Larry's photos. I hope that others got photos of the folks that are still "missing" from this great get together.

Janet, Your pictures are so enjoyable possibly because you ARE and artist and can see outside the box. What a hoot to live in a neighborhood where everything goes and the abnormal to the general population is really normal to those within this neighborhood. I just wish I could live among such people (I've known a people like this and was accepted as one of them even tho I wasn't like them). They are the most wonderful, giving, understanding people in this world. Anyway, you certainly did capture the essence of the neighborhood and the people (the fence and its art), Randy's place and the "odds" and "ends" that always seem to fit wherever he chose to put them and only added to the artiness of his place and the beauty. You captured so well the way he thinks and feels. He seems like a beautiful person inside and out. Of course the gardens are overwhelming to us average people but I bed that in Randy's mind they make complete sense. At any rate the whole place is beautiful!!!! Thanks so much for capturing all this for us!
Ann
