Ok, I just visited my local Walmart and they had 6 inch Anthurium plants for $3.00 each, I now have 3 of them. At this time they are on the screened in deck, but I know I'll have to bring them in for the winter. I plan to put them all in a large pot, on a tray of stones, in a window that gets a lot of light. Any advice????
I hope I'm doing the right thing, they are blooming like crazy now.
Anthurium plant care
Anthuriums are a low-light plant - they don't need high light. They need very little water and very little fertilizer. I would suggest that you go to google.com and do a search on the culture of Anthuriums - there will be a ton of information that you can use.

I got info from local orchid grower, thanks, for the great site, I could shop for days, Ha Ha
They also want excellent drainage. They can rot very easily. Many grow as epiphytes and will produce roots that are actually above the soil line.
The anthurium farms here grow theirs under 80% shade cloth and they water every day it does not rain. Mine can stand longer periods without rain...but they do like it damp. Some of the Obake Anthuriums can grow in higher light and head for the sunshine.
From someone in a zone similar to yours who grows Anthuriums indoors, I have to say (from my own experience) that they've grown the best and only bloomed when placed in HIGH light (indoors).
I had read time and time again that they're low-light plants (sure, outdoors!) but it wasn't until I moved them near my south window that they really began growing large leaves and re-blooming.
I do recommend placing them near a very bright window to see optimum growth and blooms.
Mine are about a foot from my south-facing window.
Well...I think that in WI brighter light would be necessary. Down here, no.
