Hello, Las Cruces desert grower here

Las Cruces, NM

My name is Sam and I am a somewhat of a beginner gardener. I have been growing since I was a kid with my grandma and mother but have only had my own garden for a few years. In the past I have had serious bug problems but since have learned how to combat them organically. I currently have three grow locations, my outdoor garden greenhouse and office. I am also growing Devils ivy hydroponicly in my kitchen but my wife says I cant put any more plants there.I am a full time student during the school year and a full time gardener during the summer. This summer I chose not to go on vacation because I didn't want my plants to suffer. I don't know if gardening is a hobby an addiction or a little of both. I encourage you to look at my journal and give me any ideas or make any comments. There is one plant that is unknown and is starting to bloom,I think its a chili plant of some kind.Gapeahen suggested that I join this site and since she was no nice to me I figured I would give it a try. This will be the first time sharing my garden with people that may actually be interested.

Welcome to DG, Sam.

It sounds like you've got an addiction to me! I can't think of a better one to have, though.
If you haven't already, ck out the vegetable garden forum. There is also a plant identification forum for those mystery plants. There is a forum for about everything, it just takes some looking around to find the one you need. Happy hunting and happy gardening.

Welcome, Sam. BTW -good name- one of my twins is named Sam.
Yep, sounds like a definite addiction, :) Actually, it's more a way of life.
Ditto, to what Jackie said, I've been on a little less than a month and there is soooo much out there. I'm still finding my way. Have fun searching. There is a whole bunch of knowledgeable people out there just eager to help out.
