Boomer went to the vet yesterday. They took out all of the staples and stitches, and he doesn't have to wear the e-collar (or lamp shade-as my nephew calls it) anymore. He is back to his old self. Went outside to mow the grass a few hours ago and Boomer spent the first 15 minutes "herding" the lawn mower. Now, I will have to start working with him, so that he will quit doing that. Thanks everyone for all your advice, thoughtfulness, and genuine concern for my Boomer. The ladies at the vet's office were sorry to see him go. They said that Boomer has become like a household name around the office. (Probably as an example of what you don't want your dog to be like) He is a wild and crazy dog, jealous and bossy sometimes too. But I have never known a dog to be more loving than him. Everytime I sit on the couch, he has to be right beside me with his head on my lap. When it's time for bed, he's the first one in and he lays at the top of the bed by my pillow. (I know, I shouldn't allow that, but all 3 guys sleep with me, and that is fine by me) Anyway, thanks so much everyone. Staci
