Tiramisu
You will need a 13x9” Baking pan . sprayed lightly with vegetable oil spray.
Turn oven on to 350*.
Cake:
1 package Plain White Cake mix with Pudding, (see top of package)
1 and 1/3 cups water
2 Tabsp. Oil
3 eggs
Place cake mix water oil and eggs in a bowl and beat until thick and well blended.
Pour into prepared baking dish, smooth out top with a spatula and bake for 32 to 35 mins. Or until top is light brown and springs back when lightly pressed.
Syrup:
As the cake is baking make the syrup, this is my mix you can adjust to suit your taste.
½ cup hot water
2 Tabsp Instant Expresso coffee
3 Tabsp. Sugar
½ cup Kahlua
Mix until sugar etc is dissolved.
After cake has baked let cool on rack for about 20 mins.
POKE holes in cake with a CHOPSTICK.
Brush syrup on cake first then slowly drizzle syrup over cake.
Cover lightly and refrigerate for about 4 hours.
TOPPING:
24 oz. Of Belgioioso Mascarpone cheese ( see Raleys or Trader Joes)
½ cup POWDERED sugar
Beat cheese and sugar until well blended
Spread over cooled cake ( can be done 2 days in advance)
When ready to serve, add chocolate , Grated, on top of cheese to taste, I use about 1 cup, Ghirardelli semi sweet.
Can be stored in frig for 3 days.
