I got a hummingbird feeder...

I got a hummingbird feeder... now how do I make the "nectar"?

1 part sugar to 4 parts water


basically 1/4 cup sugar to cup of water adding red food coloring is personal preference.

I was trying to avoid the food coloring I knew it was sugar and water, but I wasn't sure of the mix. Thank You!
