The great smoke out.

I just got back from three smoke free days on the coast.............(19 pics)............The trip started with this Robin watching me load the car.

A few miles West of the house I got a quick pic of an Osprey.

At Smith River Ca. this Blue Heron gave me a pose.

Next to the Heron was this Least Sand Piper (?)

This Egret was shy and wouldn't let me get very close.

There were Cormorants, Sea Gulls and Brown Pelicans in this group.

Further North in Oregon when I stopped for gas this Crow was strutting his stuff.

I visited the Oregon Aquarium at Newport Or. They have a small aviary where I picked up six new birds for my list..............Pigeon Guilliemot.

Snowy Plover.

Then I went to Mcminnville Or. where I saw a goose......A Spruce Goose.....it has wings, it flys and some people call planes birds, so I decided to post it here. This was built by Howard Hughes over 60 years ago. A google search for Spruce Goose will give any body that's interested all the facts. This plane is too big for the camera to do it justice. Note the people on the floor under the nose.

Spotted this Bald Eagle on the way home.

At a rest stop near home this Ring-billed Gull gave me an earfull.,,,,,,,,,,,(fini)

What fantastic birds, adelbertcat. I love the Tufted Puffin and Auklet. The Pigeon Guillemot looks like it's wearing emergency services orange on its legs and feet.
