The great smoke out.
Then I went to Mcminnville Or. where I saw a goose......A Spruce Goose.....it has wings, it flys and some people call planes birds, so I decided to post it here. This was built by Howard Hughes over 60 years ago. A google search for Spruce Goose will give any body that's interested all the facts. This plane is too big for the camera to do it justice. Note the people on the floor under the nose.
Neat pictures.
Next to the Heron was this Least Sand Piper (?)
Western Sandpiper, moulting adult. Note the black legs (yellow on Least Sandpiper) and black flank streaks.
Resin
They have a small aviary where I picked up six new birds for my list
Sorry, can't have captive birds on lists, that's cheating!! ;-)
Very neat adel! I love all of them!
I sure hope the smoke clears for you soon.
Another great trip for you Adel...enjoyed your pics! I hadn't realized the Spruce Goose had been moved from Long Beach! Hope the smoke is clearing up for you!
What fantastic birds, adelbertcat. I love the Tufted Puffin and Auklet. The Pigeon Guillemot looks like it's wearing emergency services orange on its legs and feet.
Beautiful Birds! Thanks for sharing.
LOL Marg, you are right about the orange ;o)
Thanks Resin'''''''''''''the Western Sand Piper goes on my list''''''''''''''''Rose, the smoke comes and goes depending on the wind.
