I've not been around much due to my husband's illness, but tonight I found this one blooming nicely out in full sun and in a pot and thought I'd share.

Nice pictures, Amanda. Even tho I don't have much to offer here right now, I do watch the threads and enjoy everyone's pictures.

Beautiful, Shirley! I love lots of blooms on a bush at a time!

Alvin, TX(Zone 9a)

Here are two of my favorites. Not that their flowers are prettier than the exotic cultivars such as Susan Schlueter, Cosmic Dancer, Tsunami, Nightrunner, Bienvenue, etc., but for their habit to be loaded with blooms daily - more than any other plant in my yard thus far (although my Rum Runner would be close to this if she were taller). So ... each morning when I look out my window, I see these two and sigh. :)

Amanda, your hibiscus are beautiful. There's just something about them. I enjoy the fact that although on the same bush, each is a little different than another.
Have you seen the cajun hibiscus on the market place? So beautiful and unusual. I had to buy 3 of them. Just couldn't stop my fingers from buying. I really enjoy the hardy hibiscus but have a sunroom for the tropical.

Lynn - thank you!!!! Are you talking about the Cajun Hibiscus by Dupont? Those are lovely!

Prattville, AL

Yes, Buried Treasure is selling them. Surprise, Surprise. Mailman just delivered my package. The plant itself, not including the rootball are about 9" tall and very healthy. Persimmon even has a bud!! I also bought Manifique and City Slicker. Just sooo pleased. I hate it when you just get a nub half dead but have always been more than satisfied with their plants.
I really like your "Pride of Acadiana". The color is just beautiful. Hope mine grow as well as yours but of course from the looks of yours, I'm not that talented. :O)

Awww Lynn, thank you! I've just put mine in the ground with some Osmocote and have it getting water each morning from a pulsating sprinkler at 9:30 am for 30 minutes. It's been dry around here for the last several months and now with this storm that's hit south of here, the rains are really picking up. I can lessen the watering now.

You HAVE to post photos of your blooms on here!! We all want to see! I've always been curious about City Slicker! Such a gorgeous flower. Magnifique looks fabulous and I don't know much about Persimmon ... so please post all your photos!

Anyone else have any photos this week to add? I like looking!!! :)

Hey Amanda, great pics!!!

I am so jealous of your Pride of Acadinia!! So far, I have bought three different PoA's, and not one has been true to label :-( I think I'm probably destined to not have this lovely bloom ;-)

Keep em coming!

Awww, are you serious? Karen - that's sad!! :( Well ... I do have yet another one about to open on my POA ... and then I need to cut her back. Will see if I can get her to root ... although I've never been good at hibiscus rooting. Wil ltry though!!!

Great pictures, Amanda!! I really like your group shot :-) I should start doing that too; I just hate taking the blooms off the bushes, lol ;-)

What a pretty Carolina Breeze Amanda; I've never seen one that pale and I love it. Mine is an orangy orange.

awesome pictures.

ardesia - I don't know why, but it seems like mine are doing that yellowish-orange look. Maybe the heat and sun? It's been in the 100s.
