Hi,
I got seed lists from the gesneriad and the GHA societies.
I am looking for some mini sinningias with simple, not double flowers, pink, light pink or coral colour petals.
Do any of you know if I can find these in the lists and what their names are?
Do you know of any that it's a "should have" in any collection?
Thank you very much.:o)
help with choosing seeds, please
Pink Petite is cute...
Spider,
I received alot of seed from the gesneriad society and planted them 6/18.
Most of the things I planted were the larger growers but I think there is one on there called sinningia Small's miniature mix. You want to look at the hybrids as those are going to be your smaller growers.
This is an AWESOME site if you want to look up individual names while you "shop" the list and see what the mother looks like:

I haven't gotten great germination from the seeds that I ordered but I'm not really a great seed grower either so that doesn't mean anything. I have always struggled with seed but keep trying. After a month only 2 out of approximately 9 types have germinated but I'm not giving up on the others yet as some of them are species and species take longer.
I hope this helps in some way :)

You will find so many that you love you won't be able to decide! (LOL)
Kim, where is the site with just pictures? I think that is what she is looking for? The hybrids and not the species........let me try and find.
maybe it would be easier for you, Spider, just to go to www.davesviolets.com and look at his hybrids.
