I saw a yellow bird that was mostly yellow except for a couple beige stripes on the shoulder of its wings. It was larger than a canary with the shape of a medium size songbird (like a finch), maybe the size of a mockingbird. Sorry it was gone before I even thought of taking a picture. It was in my backyard eating sunflower seeds that I put out on my patio. I live in the north part of Houston, Texas in Tomball. Any ideas?
CLOSED: Solid yellow bird?
Probably an escaped hybrid ('mule') Canary, they can be fairly large.
