Grown from seed question

Fountain, FL(Zone 8a)

I started some passi seeds in a hanging basket in the greenhouse last fall/winter. They are doing great...moved the basket to the screenroom in the spring where it is taking over. Will it bloom this year or does it take longer? Also can I take cuttings and get them going? TIA

I'm new to passions. I brought some seeds and nothing happened. I was very disappointed. I've since brought a plant from Lowes (see my post, Newbie). I'd really like to try the seeds again. I've read different ways to get the seed to germinate. Ginger_H what did you do? Dorothy

Ummmm...I think I just put them in a basket of dirt and kept them moist in the greenhouse.

Paul...when I do cuttings should they be started in water or dirt with or without rooting hormone? I really need to whack on this baby as it has taken over two panels of screen in my screenroom that need to be replaced.

use vermiculite and a rooting hormone and root in freezer bags

Thanks!
