I just got off the phone with Dell Computer, after speaking with half the English-speaking population of India, and I’m annoyed.
Last year, DH came home from one of his yearly computer shows with something he picked up for free at the Dell Computer booth. I don’t have a name for them, per se, but they’re 2 little silver-colored plastic knob-like things that are about 1 inch high. The idea is to place them under the rear corners of your laptop/notebook computer and it props it up enough to allow airflow, etc. I think they’re wonderful because they’re so small and portable, which I figure is the whole point of having a laptop.
Dell does not sell them. They sell big cumbersome third-party doohickeys that cost much more, but they don’t sell these tiny, eminently portable knobs that make much more sense. I know they probably don’t think they’re worth stocking and shipping, hence the reason they give them away at shows.
This really chaps my hide. And did DH bring home a set for me? Nope. I can guarantee you that he’ll bring home bags of free toys/crap from these shows, but he doesn’t bring me something I can actually use.
He’s hogging those little knobs, too. I covet them. ;)
