I have spent about an hour and a half trying to identify this flower I know as cow pen daisy. It loves our Texas heat as you can see!
Thanks, Trixi
Does anyone know this outstanding Daisy?
It could be Bitterweed. http://uvalde.tamu.edu/herbarium/tesca.htm
Additional wildflowers to check arranged by color. http://www.lone-star.net/wildflowers/flowers.htm
Hope you find out what it is. Good luck.
I bet the folks on the S'west forum will know if we don't get it .... Could it be Tagetes lemonii? Take a look here - http://www.bio.utexas.edu/courses/bio406d/images/pics/ast/Tagetes_lemonii.htm
It looks like Coreopsis "Moonbeam".

Hope this helps.

Yup looks like some sort of Coreopsis.
One more vote for Moonbeam.
You know, four nerve daisy looks and sounds right, but it blooms all summer into the fall here. I have several moonbeam coreopsis and the plant and foliage is not the same. Thank you so much for your replies!!
Four nerve daisy is bitterweed ngam!

I wouldn't miss it for the world!!
Trixi
It could be, I don't know anything anymore!!
Trixi
LOL! Me, neither ...
It looks a bit like a Dahlsberg daisy, I used to have them and they do very well with hot and dry climate. Couldn't find them in plantfiles, but found this link
http://www.parkseed.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/StoreCatalogDisplay?storeId=10101&catalogId=10101&langId=-1&SearchText=dahlberg+daisy&mainPage=textsearchresults&RequestType=NewRequest&cid=ppp000912
It really looks like this to me. Does it have a fragrance like a mum? If so I bet this one is what it is!

Try putting Tickseed in the common name in Plant Files.
My first thought was coreopsis, too. It does look very much like threadleaf coreopsis. And yep, as others said, 'Moonbeam.' So, add my vote for coreopsis, too! :)
I suspect it is Helenium amarum 'Dakota Gold' http://www.peoriagardens.com/images/premiums/HeleniumDakotaGold.jpg
Thanks Dale- It looks like it!
Trixi
It is, will reseed here, although our 107 weather did a number on it! The zinnias are profusion and they are reseeding too. High hopes for next year
That is a beautiful vine. Is it tropical Dale?
