passiflora and horses

Molino, FL(Zone 8b)

Hi, I have a question. Someone I know is considering planting some incense passion vines on a fence row that her horses are in. She wants to know if it's safe for them and if they will eat it. I really don't know and hoped that some of you would have some knowledge for me. Thanks.

This website lists plants toxic to animals - Passiflora is not listed.

Thank you both.

I know that as an herbal remedy it has sedative effects, but I don't have a clue how it would affect a horse.

I have a friend who has a pasture for her prize show horses - the field is dotted with Passiflora incarnata and Datura plants - the horses don't touch them.
