More baby pictures

Some of you may remember that I had 72 epsicia babies I grew from seeds I harvested off Faded Jade plant back in late '06. After watching the seedlings grow,out of 72 seedlings,these are the only two I've kept. It's hard to get a good pix of the color so I'll try my best to discribe them...and probably not not well.

Here's one alone. These seedlings are more of a grey-green rather than the silvery-mint green of FJ and nice heavy chocolate brown markings. Pix just doesn't do it justice.

Forgot to mention...it has pale pink mid ribs w/ a sparkley pink overlay on the back side of the leaf.

This is not one of my seedlings. Last year I notice this odd coloring of a stolon on Strawberry Patch so once it got big enough,I cut it off and rooted it up. I though once it got older and out into warmer temps it would revert back to solid strawberry colored but...Nope,here it is as of today still w/ it's multiple personality. Think I'll call it Strawberry Kalidescope or just plain Kalidescope(hope I spelled that right...Kalidoscope....Kalidescope?)Maybe Scizho Strawberries?

Pix #1 and #3 are two different seedlings from Faded Jade. The last two pix are stolon taken from Strawberry Patch last year. I'm hoping o get more seeds from the 2 seedlings this year and if the SP stolon blooms. It's a lot of time and effort to grow out that many seedlings and cull down to only 2 but it sure is fun to see the results.

Oh my goodness ... that one is so pretty ... looks like a rainbow. Oh, Kaleidoscope is a great name! (Had to get the dictionary for the correct spelling ... computer has spell check but it didn't change it ... just kept underlining it telling me the spelling was wrong!) Dang computers! They alert you about a misspelling, you'd think they could change it to the correct one! LOL. I think I really like the name Schizo Strawberries since it came from E. strawberry patch.

AS w/ the seedlings...I just couldn't get a good enough pix to do it justice. I'm on the fence about the name. Both sound neat

Thanks. I'm trying to come up w/ names for FJ seedlings. The one w/ pink mid-ribs and reverse...maybe, Pink Pearl....the one w/o pink...Grey Pearl or Smoke on the water...sounds a bit hokey. Maybe Pink Pigeon and Grey Pigeon...don't ask me why...they just come to me.Don't even know why I want to name them....I'm probably the only one that would want them. Babies only their mommy could love...LOL

Think I'm sticking w/ Kaleidoscope for the SP stolon.
