How was your day....84???

Rowlett, TX(Zone 8a)

Guess its time for a new thread..sorry I havent been able to keep up with much going on here, but did notice that Adina is (or has) moved...Bonnie is still wowing the Russians, Debbie had a wonderful birthday and everyone else is sweltering under this heat wave that has the entire country in its grip..

SusanKC..I looked for some flax fields but apparently that isnt grown much anymore..too bad cause it really was a pretty site.

Devestatingly hot here, too. I tried getting out to dig up some onions..but first I had to transplant some daylillies I brought back from ND (my cousin shared, they came from our grandmother's garden), but first I found massive weeds to pull, but first I wanted to get some soaker hoses down to help with the watering..I guess you get the picture..spent a good part of the mid-day doing a lot but getting nothing done. Came back in, hot and wilted and ready for a nap..

Want to share a picture of my mother on her 89th birthday which was in June...she is still gardening, still takes 1-2 mile walks daily, still 'helps out' at the nursing home one day a week. (Gets things ready for the Mass there). She is a remarkable woman, I only hope I am as healthy and strong as she is when I am that age.
