What kind of soil do you plant them in & what do you feed them? I am in ZOne 5-6 (on the border of the 2) would you start it inside & allow it to grow all winter then move it outside in the spring?

Brugs are heavy feeders. Everyone has their own recipe they swear by so I won't go into that. As for starting them now...I would start now and keep in pots till winter was over and plant in the ground after all danger of frost was over or keep in pots and train into a small bush. Its really more of a personal matter, but a small one won't make it through a real winter its first year.

Thanks for answering, I was going to start them in a pot & leave them there as I wasnt sure if they would survive winter in my area. Has anyone in Zone 5-6 actually planted them outside and had them live?
