I would love to have these plants for our neighbourhood terrace, but I can't afford to buy the plants. I have a lot of different kinds of seeds I could trade for:
Berberis thunbergii var. atropurpurea 'Crimson Pygmy' - Barberry, 'Crimson Pygmy'
If you have this plant in your yard, maybe you could collect the berries when they are mature.

Seandor... You'd be lots better off seeing if somebody can take and root ya some cuttings of this one. You'll be in a rocking chair by the time ya could get the seeds to germinate and even grow up.
Even the Pigmy ones are wicked with their thorns. If nobody has any seeds, ya might go to wally world and pick up one plant for about 6 bucks in the one gallon and try and root ya a bunch of cuttings yourself.
They are beautiful shrubs to look at though, especially when blooming.
Well, my problem is - the plants are banned for sale in Ma - and they will be totally banned for propagation in Jan. 2009. So I will be just getting these seeds under the wire. ^_^
