My okra plants look healthy enough. They're Clemson Spineless, planted late May, and about 4 feet tall at this point, showing no sign of slowing down in leaf set or stem growth. However, I've only had a couple blossoms. One fell off and the other looks like it is going to. It looks like they are falling off before they open, but I could have missed the opening and closing --- they're a short lived blossom, correct?
Should the blossom be open a couple days? Should the blossom drop off the plant, or have I got a problem?
Okra Blossoms Falling Off
Too early to worry. If your plants are healthy, they should begin producing, Okra blossoms only last a very short while and the pod grows rapidly, but I would not worry over the first few trial blossoms.
