Fayette, MO(Zone 6a)

My little heifer continues to live at the neighbor's place with his wild cows. He says when he has time he will get them all up and we can come over and get her. He is not in the least bit worried about her being over there! I tend to want the silly fence jumper home.. I have lots more grass and good stuff for her to eat over here. There it's mostly weeds. But, she wanted to live with cows not sheep I guess so off she goes. I live on top of a hill that overlooks part of that farm and with my binoculars I could see her prancing around over there. That black heifer with her white face is pretty easy to pick out of his herd at a distance.
Rain here again.. A rush home from work to do the feeding last night before another storm hit.. and then the punishment of not being able to turn the old computer on and surfing the net because of lightning... Love the green grass around here though..
Catherine, as the weather becomes cooler I can just picture you puttering around in that greenhouse that you didn't have in working order because you were gone all the time. As Spring approaches I bet you will have seed trays everywhere.
Gearing up for the long weekend. Hoping to make a livestock auction tomorrow and look for more bottle calves -- maybe not the time of year to look but will give it a whirl. and then the sheep and fiber festival on Monday in Bethel Missouri. Sunday some time with my Granddaughter and hoping to buy some fall flowering plants.
Everyone be careful please if driving on the crazy highways this Holiday weekend. Wear those seatbelts.
