Hi Joy,

Lovely lily, but is it possible that it's placed in the wrong entry? Elodie is described as a double lily with no stamens. What do you think?

Thanks!

Hi Joan. I bought it as Elodie. I'm pretty sure it's correct. It's doubling more this year. I've read that some of it's flowers will be double while some won't. This seems to be true for all the double liliums.

Thanks!

I've heard from others that this cultivar usually blooms as a single the first year and then as a double in subsequent years. I've added a comment to the photo caption that your lily bloomed as a single the first year and then as a double in subsequent years. That's helpful information for others growing this lily and wondering why it isn't double the first year

Thanks Joan. That's a very good idea. I should have thought of it myself. :-)
