I'm not new....

(Zone 8a)

Hi everyone, I'm not really new here but I don't post much and I don't think I ever got around to introducing myself.

I live in southern Oregon with a husband and two cats. We have 40 acres of farm/forest property that we haven't really done much with. I garden on a small scale, the last couple of years have been very discouraging because of drought. Our only water is from a well that gets very low in late summer.

I love DG and enjoy reading the forums. Soon I hope to get into the seed exchanges and hope to get to know all of you a little better.

Welcome to DG, Lucy! I think all of us who came on board before the welcome mat was established should follow your example.

Hi Lucy,
You are living in a great state to garden in from what I've heard. A lot of the Iris and Lily growers are there . I've always wanted to go around Portland and see the Iris' in the spring at Schreiner's and Cooleys. My mother ordered from both of them over the years and she had a beautiful display of Iris and daylillies. I am new to DG myself and quickly have become addicted to it. Glad to meet you and feel free to jump right in and post whenever you want to. I did and have met some great folks. pam aka Lazy Daisy

Hi Lucy....I was raised in Caveman territory....all you mid-westerners and southerners will laugh at me...but southern Oregon is way too hot for me...high tailed it out of town right out of high school and have mostly been in Portland since. The drought has been no fun this year for anyone...think Mediteranean! Welcome. Dee

Welcome from the Heart of Dixie. Hope you enjoy DG as much as I do. It's addictive, so better get comfy...
