Horses have taste. Really. They do.

(Sheryl) Gainesboro, TN(Zone 6b)

And it is pretty specific, evidently. A research project done in in Great Britain (University of Southampton) measured pony preference for different flavors by how much they ate of what, for how long etc. ... 15 different flavors were tested - apple, banana, carrot, cherry, cumin, fenugreek, garlic, ginger, oregano, peppermint, echinacea, nutmeg, coriander and rosemary turmeric.

Here's what they preferred, in order: Their top 8:

* Fenugreek (I wasn't familiar with this so I looked it up - it's often used in curry)
* Banana
* Cherry
* Rosemary
* Cumin
* Carrot
* Peppermint
* Oregano

The only thing that some of them wouldn't eat was the echinacea, nutmeg, and coriander.

Guess they don't know about molasses in GB?
