I am very much interested in drawing birds into my backyard, and which trees are the best for this?
I planted a Washington Hawthorn this Spring and it died, I would like to know where one can buy a nice size Washington Hawthorn tree from a Mail Order Nursery?
I have 2 Crabapple trees, Sourwood, Wild Back Cherry, Oak, and a Dogwood tree which I am replaceing with another Dogwood tree.
If you can gave me suggestions which other trees to plant it would be helpful, even bushes.
Which Trees To Put In Your Backyard
I would suggest Eldeberry, Viburnums,Winterberrys for bushes. The winterberrys need a male and female.
I would ask your other questions (where to buy from) in the Trees and Shrubs forum.

Pelle
Mulberry and Mimosa Draw the birds too. Hummers seem to love the Mimosa best of all.
Mountain ash is a good one also, Waxwings love them. Junipers provide places to nest for a lot of species. And some junipers have the blue berries that some birds love.
