Austin, TX(Zone 8b)

You just can't make this stuff up! So I'm passing it along....

Hello MGs and Interns,

The following message is from Alice Nance, City of Austin Parks & Recreation Dept.

Austin's City Hall has been certified by the National Wildlife Federation (NWF) as a wildlife habitat!
It is the first City Hall in the state of Texas to receive this distinguished certification.

Please join NWF, Mayor Wynn, Council Members Leffingwell and Martinez for the certification ceremony and press conference to find out what the excitement is all about!

When: Monday, July 21st 10:30-11:00am
Where: City Hall Plaza
301 W. Second Street 78701

Following the ceremony there will be a habitat tour of the City Hall grounds with Wildlife Austin staff and NWF Habitat Stewards.
Please share this information with colleagues and friends. Thanks!
Keep Austin Wild!

I find that fantastic. If only all of Texas was weird. The link is eye candy and has ideas for everywhere.

Now, back to that delightful link...
