I'm looking to cheer my garden with color in early spring, something that would bloom before daffodils. I just learned about mini-irises and love them. I think "Harmony" might be my favorite. Does anyone know how long the blooms last? Will they naturalize? And, will the deer eat them? We have a large population here and they try to nibble just about everything at that time of year!
Any ideas for some companion bulbs that would bloom just after the mini-iris are finished?
Thanks.
Miniature Iris - length of bloom, deer resistant?
I have that on my list to try. This says they will naturalize. http://miniatures.about.com/od/livingminiatures/p/irisharmony.htm
I'm going to put it in the rockery where I have English Daisys which will bloom before, during and after it but I want something yellow too. I wonder how it would time with a late crocus?
