I received a brug cutting as a surprise last year in a trade and have managed to keep it alive.(my first)
My Question is : It is sending a sprout from the bottom. Should I remove it ? all the photos I see are single stemmed (like a tree) . If so how ?just snip?
Thanks for any advise

Question?
I just cut it off below the dirt.....you can then stick it in some water and let it soak for about a week and then stick it in a pot and have two burgs.......
Depends on the form you want. Tall single stems for the 'standard' look, and multiple for the bush look. Sometimes the shoots that come up from the roots will go straight up and make a better looking plant than the original .... I'd let it get bigger before I cut it off if I wanted to root it separately.

I agree with Mary about letting it get bigger before cutting it. You might searching through old threads, but some DGers have allowed the shoots to "Y" before cutting and rooting the shoot. Leaving the shoot attached to the mother plant gives you a tall cutting faster than if you cut it while small.
