Brug Bug Help?

What is this? It's ALL over my yard!!!!!!!! And it's LOVING my Brugs!! First pic is of teh saucer-shaped "nests" or whatever they are. These are in every one of my front flowerbeds.

Sprayed these particular saucers with Ortho Bug B Gon with no effect.

I can't remember what they are called. They are not bugs, they are fungi. I think they are cool looking. They will probably just go away when the weather dries up.

These are ok being all over my Brugs?

Google "Bird's Nest Fungus", they are very interesting and should not be harmful. Just odd looking. And they do get around.

I'd suggest identifying new garden entities before using a pesticide which might be, as in this situation, completely unnecessary and useless. A less-toxic yard is nicer.

Well, my father-in-law told me these were Scale and to use the Ortho. However, I posted this because I wasn't sure since it had no effect on them. :( Thanks for the info! If these are truly only a harmless fungus, then I'm fine with them. And not to mention - relieved!
