14 months ago I planted my first butterfly bush. I was the only one I knew able to kill one, two, three. Finally, I have a nanjo purple, 10 feet tall and blooming away. Success was when I saw my first butterfly in it.

Vicki - that's a great picture. You must have been too nice to the other bushes. Really, they thrive on neglect. :-)
My grandmother has one that's a deep purple. She complains it's too dark, I hope to start one next year.
Just break off a piece of her's in October and stick it in the ground, it wiill grow.
That's what I was planning!
