My famous landscaper's assistant weed-whacked my BIG Iran Squash plant to the ground, so the Landscaper brought me this...thing! He says it's a squash from one of his other clients, but I've never seen anything like it. Aside from the fact that he dug it up and left it on his front stoop for a day, where the squirels had at it, it's the strangest looking thing. All of the fruits are covered with fur!
You input would be greatly appreciated!
What am I?
It appears to be something out of a horror movie! I'd dump it...
LOL! Not an option at this point, but they do kind of resemble little green mice...
The plant is pretty beaten up, but my guess it is fuzzy gourd aka hairy gourd, fuzzy squash, hairy cucumber, Mao Gua. ( Benincasa hispida)

In which case, it's gotta a whole lotta growin' to do.
Thanks! If it lives, I will keep a good eye on it.
Edited to say, I looked it up and read that it's a "sweet and mild squash". Hope it makes it!
