I potted up a wild passionflower this spring and it is anxious to climb, cling, spread. Would it be suitable to plant it at the base of an Amer. Holly (now 8' tall) and let it scramble up? Would it kill the holly? P I appears sporadically on our property and is supposedly invasive but doesn't seem to do that for me. Thanks for advice. Am anxious to put it in business as a butterfly attractor.
will P. incarnata grow up thru a holly?
Mine climb over and through anything they can get to. I think it would be happier climbing in more sun though.
I could plant it facing south, in front of the holly. Thanks! Oh and how wonderful it sounds to live on Pawleys Island. It brings the image of a vacation year round.
It is like a vacation all the time. LOL it makes it hard at times to force myself to work though. Good luck with your passie. Do you have other varieties?
No I don't, but I see from the forum that there is a wonderful world out there of them. Any word on deer resistance? And how aggressive are they generally? Do they play well with others? Thanks
