I believe this is a crinum lily. I received it in a trade a couple of years ago and it has just bloomed for the first time. I was ecstatic when it bloomed because it smelled SO wonderful. Does anyone know the name?
Crinums
And here's the foliage. Please excuse the mess my flower bed "was" in. I hadn't had a chance to get out and weed... plus had an invasion of snails. They just love my crinums :-( Hmmm, butter and garlic! :-)
Also,,,, note the wavy edge to the foliage. All the crinums I have of this color have the wavy edge, but the rest of my crinums don't. I think the light pink one with a similar flower also has the wavy edges.
LAKelley.
the dark pink looks like Ellen Bosanquet to me, and the light pink possibly Crinum x powellii.
Did the person who traded have any names for them?

This is a link to dmj1218's Ellen Bosanquet photo in plant files.
Gloria - Nope, no names were given when I got them. I can't even remember who sent them. I was new to trading and didn't do well w/it because I never have time to get to the post office LOL!!!
I agree, the dark pink looks like Ellen Bosanquet.
Marie--I just sent the bulb planting instructions handout that you got with ellen to you "desert" email address
Have a nice weekend my friend!
