HI - from Northern Calif, Sonoma Co (transplant from So FL)

Santa Rosa, CA(Zone 9b)

Hello All,

I recently moved to northern CA from Southern Florida. I just joined Dave's in hopes of learning how to grow vegetables.
While in Florida I did not have the space or inclination to even attempt a vegetable garden. We are now living in a house that came with the beginnings of a garden. Raised beds, compost pit, etc. So we are giving it a go to grow our own tomatoes and the such.

Wish me luck.

Welcome blackthumbz - ditto to above replies. In my short time on board it is quickly becoming a second home even for this techno-challenged newbie. Hey when DOES one stop being a newbie? :)
Check out the regional forums as well and the articles. There are quite some great writers on the membership roles.

Oh, I guess that's now. Yippee! I'm not a newbie anymore but, I'm still an amateur. :))
