Neil's streps

Lilburn, GA

Hi,

I am looking for Neil's streps. I checked his website but it seems that it's outdated.
Do any of you know where can I get them from?
thank you. :o)

Spider,

I know that Dennis (the hybridizer) is in the process of moving.
Most of the time he lists on E-Bay first, E-Bay ID: neils_streps
He doesn't have anything listed right now.

Hope this helps :)

Hi Kim,

thank you very much for your message. Do you know if after the move he will continue selling streps?

I'm sure he will once he gets everything set back up and rolling. It's a big under taking I'm sure.

I was just reading the threads now as i haven't had time since I joined again and I noticed that you said that you are polish.
Are you, really?

My family on my mum's side is polish and so is my husband's family.

I am part polish, yes. My great grandmother (Babchi) was right from Poland. Family name: Chmelowski
LOVE Pierogies ^_^ Can't find anything but the frozen (yuck) ones here in Maine.

I'm short and stout with HUGE high cheek bones *lol* Hate them!

LOL!

Huge high cheek bones is something that one should love, not hate!!!

I love pierogies! My mum makes them and they are delicious but when she isn't here i eat the frozen ones. They are sooo hard to make from scratch!

Do you make poppy seed cake for Christmas? I love it!!!

You are moving right on into my heritage............poppy seed cake and homemade Kolaches!!! One of my great grandparents (one side of the family) had the name of Blaschke name straight out of Germany and Austria........I still have cousins I love with that last name.

Never had poppy seed cake. Sounds good though :)

I tried making pierogies once from scratch. Cost me a mint in ingredients which I ended up throwing all away *lol* They are just TOO hard for me to make. That farmer's cheese isn't cheap either *lol*

My Babchi used to make us blueberry ones that she would top with sugar. They were SO delicious!

No, huge high cheekbones look AWFUL in pictures. I hate pictures of myself as I always look like a fat lion *lol* I don't find them attractive at all *lol*

But then again, I wish my hair was straight too *lol* Oh well, I'm happy with what God gave me *lol*

Gessiegal,

yes, I think that poppy seed cake is as popular in Germany as it is in Poland. My MIL used to bake it for Christmas and it was wonderful. The difficult bit is to grind the poppy seeds. It is such hard work!

When i lived in England there was always german poppy seeds cakes and strudels for sale at the supermarkets for Christmas. They are a bit different from the polish though. In the polish cake you don't use any flour, just the seeds, walnuts and raisins. In the german cakes, the seeds are used as filling.

I would "kill" to have high, big cheekbones. They are sooo fashionable!

I would kill to have high cheekbones, also!!! Our electricity has been out since I last posted . We have been having thunderstorms every day for 5 days and this weather is supposed to keep raining through Thursday.

Well Gail, now you don't have to water *lol* More time for the inside babies.
