well not so new for the Foolys cuz its taken three years. This is the path and the woodshed.

This is a small planting on the east side. I'm waiting to show you the west side til the lilies are in bloom.

and this is my reading nook. I just finished my Alice-in-Wonderland bench today and installed it. Note the very important feature for easy access to my beverage ^_^

Hi dahlianut....love that bench with the acces to the beverage. Think Id probably fall off or over after one or two...lol. No room for leaning back ya know...lol

If it was me, I woulda turned the bench the other way around, then you can have something to lean against...just me I suppose. I have shoulder, back problems and dont like always sitting up all the time.

Okay, now I know Im really tired as I didnt look at this too good I suppose. Ive been working lots with no sleeep and have been up for close to 44+hrs now. Had to have DH at the airport for 0600hrs this morning to report for duty in Shiloh, Manitoba. Sorry but will have a sleep next time I comment...lol.

lol sydney. The original plan was to have the bench the other way but it doesn't fit. Too crammy. I plan to recline like a diva on the cushion and say things like 'o boytoy' (if I disappear DH murdered me for saying that :x) 'will you fetch my wine?" That's my story and I'm sticking to it.

MS..DH...lol...I still cant sleep and Id do the same thing darlin...just get someone to rub your feet as well....lol.....is there anyone like that out there?? Probably not, so we just have to keep being the loving and kind people we are eh....snickering away...lol

Guess Im not sleeping anymore, and have gotten my third wind, so to speak...look out plants..I think its a good time for running actually. I want to run a 10KM in Oct...whewwwww...dont know if I can do it, but tryin really hard here. Signed up for a 10 km in Kelowna...yikes...Im already tired...

sydney wow! 10 k! I'm not sure I could walk 10 k let alone run it. Jo North the back gate inset is in but there were technie difficulties with the front gate. Bob will be finishing today (I hope) and then I will post pics.

Here's the new gate Jo North. Bob the Blacksmith finished today. Note the dried flowers are hiding the gas meter. Tall urn in my future maybe??? I'm really tickled with how it turned out. ok I'm smitten.

Your gate is awesome! Kudos to the designer/builder. It looks fab. I knew it was from what I'd seen when I was over yesterday, but it's great to see the finished product.

Sheesh, away for a couple of weeks and look what I miss! (Am I the only one who would like to see a pic of 'boytoy'? lol) My bad. Love your bench and the wrought iron gate design. Awesome!!

Ok, I would NOT recommend spending any more than a few hours at the bench & beverage station before going throught that gate (in case you might trip). Just sayin'..... :-)

Oh I am........... I came to Calgary 2 yrs ago, and found there was a nasty "Age discrimination thing" going on. I'm over 50, and 3 different companies put me through the same garbage.
Add to that - the employment agencies that thought I'd be "just dandy" as a receptionist when I have enough qualifications to be an Exec Secretary - didn't believe I had really gotten all the experience I was putting on my resume "too good to be true" apparently. Back in April it started to turn around, and mature people were becoming sought-after.

Ah geeeeeeeeeze there's my vent for the day lol

It's just that this is the Dream Job I've wanted for ever-so-long, and to finally get it is a THRILL!! My boss (Division Head of Pathology) is wonderful - asks my opinion on stuff, and I get respect from others on the team of Drs.
It's really nice to be appreciated for what I can do, and what I can learn. I've been working at this posiiton for 3 months, and really understand what's needed so, YES I'm Happy :-)

Thank you for letting me vent all the OLD stuff I've now gotten rid of (don't like to keep old baggage, and now I'm Rid of it)!!!

btw - I have 3 sisters in Wpg, and one brother, my Mom, my daughter, and her hubby, plus my son's grandson, so no matter which part of Wpg, I know 'em all lol
I used to live in St. Charles, just on Portage, where it says "5k to Perimeter" lol
