I picked this plant up from Lowe's this morning. Its common name is Hawaiian Palm. The leaves are really succulent feeling!

These plants are almost extinct in the wild in Hawaii. The wild pollinators for them became extinct so they stopped producing seeds.Thankfully a few researchers figured out what was happening and they climbed up a 900ft cliff to hand pollinate them and then collect seeds. A few years ago these were about $200 each for a good sized one. Nice find! I had a seedling years back but it died one winter in storage. They like real good draining soil .
