Vista help, please

Can someone help- I am trying to help someone who has Vista, to find a downloaded file- (I have XP) She has downloaded Irfanview (file name is iview410_setup.exe) and then she can't find the file to run it. I have told her to do a file search, but evidently Vista's search is totally different tha XP- How does she get to the window to search for files? (a screenshot would be helpful, as I have never seen vista!
